For lovers of fantasy, magic, and medieval romance, the creative market event Arcane Alley is set to return with an enchanting atmosphere. Taking place on October 24–25 at The Brickhall at Fatmawati City Center, this year’s gathering carries the iconic theme “Rose Reverie.”
The Philosophy Behind “Rose Reverie”
According to the event organizers, the name Rose Reverie was born as a blend of everything that makes the romantasy (fantasy romance) genre so captivating. It serves as a heartfelt love letter to fantasy stories filled with wonder, romance, and imagination that have enchanted hearts across generations.
With the resurgence of the romantasy genre and fantasy worlds in popular culture, this year’s theme draws inspiration from some of the most iconic fantasy works past and present:
-
Classic Storybook Inspirations: Nostalgic nods to wondrous realms like Alice in Wonderland and Narnia.
-
Iconic Imagery: Inspired by the poetic visual of a knight lying peaceful in a bed of red roses.
-
A Reminder for Attendees: Rose Reverie serves as a gentle reminder that growing up doesn’t mean leaving behind the imaginative spark and magic that shaped our childhoods.
A Message to Every Dreamer
Arcane Alley this year is more than just a gathering place for independent creators and art lovers—it is a safe space to celebrate dreams and wonder:
“Rose Reverie is a love letter to anyone who still holds a bit of magic and imagination in their heart, even as they grow up. A reminder that becoming an adult doesn’t mean we have to abandon the things that make life feel magical.
Never let the magic and romance fade from your life. Keep looking at the world through your own unique lens, and never lose the part of you that still dares to dream.”
Prepare your best medieval, fantasy, or romantasy-inspired attire, and come celebrate the magic together at Arcane Alley!
