Orutaku hosted a J-Music and nostalgic anime OST karaoke night, featuring one of the renowned drummers from the band Asian Kung-Fu Generation, Kiyoshi Ijichi. The event took place on Saturday night (22/2) at Private Bar Makmur Bahagia, Kemang Raya, South Jakarta.
The event kicked off at 6:30 PM with a playlist of anime OSTs from the ’80s to the 2000s, including Yu Yu Hakusho, Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Fullmetal Alchemist, Gundam Series, and Digimon Series. Visitors enthusiastically sang along, accompanied by music from DJ REDSHIFT.
That night, Kiyoshi Ijichi delivered a special 360° drum performance, allowing the audience to experience his drumming skills up close from multiple angles. Before his performance, there was a Q&A session led by MC Sora Iro. During the session, Sora Iro translated Kiyoshi Ijichi’s remarks, where he expressed that his most memorable experience in Jakarta was the kindness of its people and his admiration for ikan dabu-dabu, a traditional dish from North Sulawesi.
Additionally, a souvenir giveaway was held for two guests with the best outfits and one guest celebrating their birthday that day.
Born on September 25, 1977, Kiyoshi Ijichi is not only a drummer but also a pianist. His passion for drumming began when he joined a marching band club in junior high school.
During his 360° drum performance, the audience was amazed by Kiyoshi Ijichi’s drumming skills as he played eight electrifying songs, including:
- Re:Re
- Life is Beautiful
- Well Then, See You Again Tomorrow
- After Dark
- Haruka Kanata
- Rewrite
- Soranin
- Blood Circulator
The atmosphere reached its peak when Haruka Kanata, the iconic song from Naruto Shippuden, was performed, igniting the audience’s energy as they sang along passionately.
To close the night, DJ BANKZOUP performed several songs remixed in a J-Music and dangdut koplo fusion, inviting the crowd to dance and sing along with their partners, friends, and loved ones.
