Kim Min Ha is reportedly in talks to star alongside Lee Junho in a new drama.
On January 13, XportsNews reported that Kim Min Ha is currently in discussions to join the upcoming tvN drama titled Typhoon Company (literal translation).
The drama tells the story of Kang Tae Poong, the CEO of Typhoon Company, as he navigates the economic crisis during the IMF era. It will depict his struggles and challenges in becoming a “true adult.”
According to reports, Kim Min Ha has been offered the role of Oh Mi Sook, a sales representative at Typhoon Company who also bears the heavy responsibility of supporting her family as the eldest child. A representative from Kim Min Ha’s agency, Noon Company, stated, “Typhoon Company is one of the projects she has been offered, but nothing has been decided yet.”
Previously, in December 2024, tvN announced its lineup of dramas for 2025, which included Typhoon Company, scheduled to premiere this year with Lee Junho playing Kang Tae Poong. Initially, the role of Oh Mi Sook was set to be played by Geum Sae Rok. However, due to scheduling conflicts, Geum Sae Rok withdrew from the project, and the role is now being considered for Kim Min Ha.
The drama will be directed by Lee Na Jeong, known for her works such as Fight for My Way, Love Alarm, and See You in My 19th Life. Filming for Typhoon Company is expected to begin in mid-January 2025.
